Andalucia Wedding Destination
Rural venues in Andalucia have a wonderful charm, they are a dream for photographers like me. Where ever you look there is a picture in the making. Add the gorgeous light famed in Souther Spain and it is a recipe for fabulous wedding photographs.
Finding a venue can be fun but time consuming, not so for Nacho & Marina. This venue is also their home. From El Romero they run unique retreats for discerning guests looking for an authentic getaway from the hustle and bustle.
This was Nacho & Marina’s “second” wedding. Their first wedding a year before, unfortunately didn’t co inside with Spanish bureaucracy. The paperwork took much longer than expected to be prepared. With dates set and guests traveling from all over the world it couldn’t be postponed, so wedding one became a marriage blessing. A year latter with the paper work in place the mayor of the town was delighted to marry Nacho and Marina at their home to finally legalise their union.
If you are looking to get legally married in Spain, and one or both of you are not born and bread in Spain it can be a complicated process. I would recommend getting advice form a professional wedding planner in Spain before you start the process. There are easier places to legally marry, but few have as much to offer in terms of location and weather. Hence the vast majority of weddings I shoot in Spain are blessings in the sun.
I hope you enjoy the photographs from this unique wedding. To see a selection of other weddings I have photographed in Spain go to my gallery here.
