an Andalucian garden wedding
There is something so special about weddings at The Lodge. I’m not sure if it’s the stunning natural beauty, the sense of space or the welcoming vibe, perhaps a bit of all three. But whatever it is, I absolutely love it when couples invite me to photograph their weddings there, and Candice and Luke’s was no exception.
This couple were such a joy to work with and were gorgeous people from the inside out. Their calm and free-spirited nature was so abundant, to the point where they hadn’t even seen the venue in person until they arrived for their wedding! They simply put their trust in the photos that they saw online! I loved this about them. Their laissez-faire attitude, not only complemented my photography style but allowed me to document their beautiful wedding day in a very natural and organic way.
It was so nice to see their day unfold and to witness their close network of family and friends work together to create such a special wedding day for them. Candice’s mum had made hearts that they hung from the trees, and every single person there was involved, one way or another, in setting up and decorating the garden area. Then a little later, after Candice and Luke’s lovely Humanist ceremony, which ended just as the stunning evening light rolled in, I got to witness everyone’s sheer happiness at being together and celebrating the love of such a beautiful couple, which really added to the sense of occasion. For me as a wedding photographer, it was a privilege to be invited to capture those moments for them and to produce these wonderful memories for the years to come.
