Wedding Weekend at the Hacienda de San Rafael
A wedding weekend in Spain is popular for many reasons, not least it just makes sense. If you and your guests are making the effort to travel all the way to sunny Spain, why not make the most of it and turn your wedding day into a wedding weekend!
The Hacienda de San Rafael less than an hour away from Seville was the venue chosen by Damien & Helena to host their wedding. Steeped in history the Hacienda de San Rafael always delivers the full Andalucian experience. Always popular, drinks around the pool accompanied by another spectacular sun set, as always Spain will oblige.
Spanish hospitality continued with a buffet served in the picturesque olive groves in the grounds of the hacienda. The traditional Andalucian fair set the theme for the evening. This continued with grand finale in the form of a flamenco show. The sound of clicking heals and fingers filled the courtyard completing the experience.
Evenings like this are the perfect for me to not only get some wonderful photos, but to also get to know better my clients and their guests. And just as importantly the wedding guests get to know me and discover that I don’t bite. I find I always get more relaxed and natural photos during the wedding the next day when I have worked with clients and their guests the day before.
Wedding Day
With her bridesmaids to hand the following afternoon Helena wanted a record of her preparations. For me this is always a wonderful opportunity to capture more intimate photographs of very close friends. With rooms dotted around the grounds it is possible for the bridal party to to do their thing without bumping into the Groom and his grooms men. It also allows me to jump between parties and cover every angle. Damien particularly wanted his monogrammed shirt captured for posterity.
The wedding its self, a Catholic celebration was held in the near by parish of San Juan Bautista in Las Cabezas de San Juan. The ornate altarpiece made a gorgeous drop for the happy couple.
I think you’d agree the photos of this wedding just speak for them selves. A beautiful day for a beautiful couple.
